Digital certificate (FNMT)
The FNMT citizen certificate is a free electronic certificate that identifies you online for procedures with public administrations, such as taxes or the padrón.
Documents
- A document showing your NIE (for example the EU registration certificate, the TIE or the NIE assignment)
- Passport or national identity card from your country
Do it yourself
- Choose one of the FNMT options: video identification, identification in person at an office, DNIe or mobile device.
- Request the certificate online, then confirm your identity with the option you chose.
- Download and install the certificate on your device and keep a backup copy.
The FNMT page does not state a period for this step.
